Certified Sorted is the sorting hybrid. The act of sorting creates a more uniform raw fiber. Certified Sorting, not only makes a more uniform fiber, it also increases the longevity, wearability, and over all yield of what ever the project is.
This system not only sorts your fiber, it provides the owner with a wealth of information to improve many other areas of the farm operation.
Once sorted, your fiber is ready to go into production. Nothing else needs to occur. It is in the best form possible. It is quite possible your fiber will end up in 10 different grades, ranging from WL1 - WL5 and WR1 and WR5.
Unique to the Certified Sorted System, are the "H" grades. Those Hairy fleeces that when made into yarn, do not represent Alpaca the way it should. In partnership with NAAFP, this "Grade" is treated uniquely and produces, roving for handspinners that drafts like a dream. It isn't your grandmothers roving.
